[ Watching Namazuo tremble the way that he does would have usually prompted Mikazuki to comfort him or do something, do anything. Yet...Mikazuki doesn't do anything. He stays stark still and watches, only moving after his mirrored memory slowly draws to an end. There's no happy ending -- Yoshiteru dies with broken swords clattered all around him. A solitary gloved hand touches the glass, fingertips brushing the reflection of his own blade...left perfectly untouched in this memory. Then a long sigh resounds through the quiet room...and Mikazuki steps back again. ]
It's not anything we can change, Namazuo-kun. [ Hands folding into his sleeves, Mikazuki's head tilts from one side to the other while braving a glance towards his comrade again. ] Do you think I should be more upset? I wonder if such a thing is even possible for me.
[ He's not entirely sure it is but he doesn't go into detail about that. Mikazuki quickly becomes distracted instead by the lifeless images on the mirrors flickering to life once more. Behind his feathered mask, he blinks dully when he watches another castle, this time on fire. It doesn't take him long to recognize it. ] Ah. It's Osaka...this time. [ Still said in that same monotone. ]
Ah. Thank you. [ He's almost like a lost puppy like this, following Vietnam's pull without reluctance or complaint. Nodding in reply, Mikazuki glances back at the monsters then down at the hole that these two (probably) (literally) crawled out from. His gaze doesn't linger, uninterested overall as it sets back on his current companion. ] The cold and darkness is not something I wanted to experience again.
It reminds me too much of storage. [ Such is the #sword life for him. ]
[ Mikazuki doesn't seem to mind being tugged along nor does he seem to mind breaking into a run as per the Shinsengumi's lead. He doesn't even spare the monsters a glance over the shoulder to see if they're being chased. His head tilts to the side at the curious comment however -- and spoken in a flat, dull tone: ] Lost?
...I suppose we all are here. I doubt that any of us have been here before. [ Saitou probably meant lost on a much grander scale but Mikazuki took it a little too literally. ] By the way, Saitou-kun...where are we going?
